Our journey begins in the vibrant heart of Ivory Coast, where our founder, Herbert N’Goran, first discovered a love for cooking under extraordinary circumstances. When his father fell ill, the rhythms of family life changed overnight. His mother took on the full responsibility of caring for his father, leaving him—still a young boy—to help keep the household running.

What began as a necessity soon became a passion. He learned to cook with instinct, creativity, and heart, guided by the flavours, stories, and traditions of his home. The kitchen became more than a place to prepare meals—it became a place of comfort, resilience, and possibility.

At 18 years old, he moved to England, carrying with him nothing but determination and a belief that hard work could open any door. He began his career humbly, first as a cleaner and then as a kitchen porter. But he studied, listened, learned, and pushed himself every day—often staying behind after shifts to practice skills others didn’t even know he was learning.

His dedication paid off. With time and relentless commitment, he rose through the culinary ranks, earning the role of Executive Chef in some of London’s top hotels and restaurants. Each step of the journey—every late night, every challenge, every new skill—shaped the chef and leader he would become.

Today, he is not only a respected chef but also a lecturer, assessor, and accomplished culinary professional, dedicated to helping others grow just as he did. Through teaching, training, and development, he now inspires the next generation of chefs to pursue excellence, creativity, and pride in their craft.

From a small kitchen in Ivory Coast to the forefront of London’s culinary scene, his story is a testament to perseverance, passion, and purpose. It is this spirit that drives our business and shapes every service we offer.
